Cornerstone MFT Continues to Keep Users Ahead of Current Security and Encryption Standards

Cornerstone Managed File Transfer Server version 2018 includes advanced security features

ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — South River Technologies, Inc. (SRT) today announced a major update to the enterprise security-centric Cornerstone MFT Server in response to the increasing need for strong security features designed to ensure the security of business data.

With the average cost of a data breach projected to exceed $150 million by 2020, according to data from Juniper Research, enterprises are requiring their solution provider to step up and help them to stay one step ahead of these serious threats.

“Our customers rely on our products for their data security, and we have worked diligently to ensure that Cornerstone exceeds the recommended levels of security and encryption,” says SRT CEO, Michael Ryan. “Simply supporting ‘standard’ levels of security is not sufficient; we go beyond accepted standards to ensure that our customers have the best weapons to fight off attacks.”

Cornerstone MFT Server 2018 addresses these corporate concerns by adding the latest publicly available security technologies to ensure the integrity of data transfers and data stored on the server. The SSH/SFTP engine has been upgraded to include stronger encryption algorithms which make it more difficult to hack into data while it is being transferred.

This release also includes the ability to disable out-of-date security standards such as SHA1, effectively locking out transfers that use less secure versions of security algorithms.

To further ensure corporate up-time and scalability, Cornerstone 2018 now includes native support for multi-clustering environments to minimize business interruptions and better respond to security issues.  This includes real-time updates of configuration settings and automation across all servers in a clustered environment.

“Our solution grows as our customer need grows,” says Ryan. “We’ve added the ability to dynamically scale their deployments, and to ensure their businesses can operate nonstop, even if servers need to come offline for maintenance. Full clustering, failover and disaster recovery support ensure our customers’ businesses are not interrupted.”
