ANNAPOLIS, MD–(March 28, 2016) – South River Technologies, Inc. (SRT), an innovator in secure file transfer, announced today that they have been selected as one of three finalists for the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council’s (CRTC) Cyber Innovator Award, to be presented at the 2016 Tech Awards in Baltimore next month.
The Cyber Innovator Award is “given to a tech company that best exemplifies the entrepreneurship and innovative style it takes to keep the tech industry cutting-edge and forward-moving in the Cyber World.”
South River Technologies has long been on the cutting edge of technology and cybersecurity, recently releasing their Cornerstone MFT version 2016, which supports SHA3 hashing, a robust security feature that is not yet featured in other products in its class.
“As many software vendors are beginning to move from SHA1 to SHA2 level encryption, SRT has already adopted the next standard, keeping pace with recommendations from NSA,” says CEO Michael Ryan. “We continually strive to be the provider that has solved the security-related problem before our customers are actually faced with the issue.”
The Operation TECHcellence, Codename: TechAwards 2016 will be held on Thursday, April 28 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Hotel. For further information on the awards and finalists, visit http://www.chesapeaketech.org/.
