Michael J. Ryan
CEO, Co-Founder
Michael Ryan brings over 30 years of software development and business experience to SRT. In 1992, he was a member of the initial start-up team of Maryland-based OTG Software (OTG was acquired by Legato and subsequently EMC). In 1996, he left to start KnoWare, Inc., where he developed Drive-Mapping technology for seamless remote access to files in the cloud.. In 1999, Mr. Ryan joined California-based online storage startup Xdrive as Vice President, Client Architecture. During his tenure, the company grew to over 200 employees and raised over $100 million in venture financing (Xdrive was later acquired by AOL). In 2001, he joined John Glavin to merge KnoWare with Riverfront Software to form South River Technologies.
Mr. Ryan was the founding President and served on the Board of Directors for the Chesapeake Regional Technology Council (CRTC). He has served on numerous Boards of Directors including Sonum Technologies, a Maryland-based AI firm that specializes in natural language processing technology, the Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC), and the CyberSecurity Association of Maryland (CAMI).
Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Loyola College in Maryland.
Rob Collins
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Collins most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at a SaaS-based data analytics company, having served as a key advisor and executive with the company since its inception. After helping that company to a successful private equity exit, he joined SRT as it positions itself for significant growth. He has previously served on the Boards of the Chesapeake Regional Technology Council, Chesapeake Montessori School (including as Board Chair), and the Severna Park Community Center. He holds a BA, with honors, from Wesleyan University, and a JD, with high honors, from the National Law Center at George Washington University.
John C. Glavin
CTO, Co-Founder
Mr. Glavin has over 30 years of software and technology experience as well as a deep knowledge of the specialized operating system and device driver level of product development. For nearly ten years he was a highly regarded software consultant who headed a firm with clients such as Vanguard Instruments. In 1997, he founded Riverfront Software to further the ongoing development of the WebDrive drive-mapping technology and bring it to market. In 1999, he joined the California-based Xdrive start-up effort, where he met Michael Ryan. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Cal Poly in Pomona, CA.
