Michael J. Ryan, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of South River Technologies (SRT), brings over three decades of expertise in software development and business leadership. His visionary approach has been instrumental in positioning SRT as a frontrunner in secure file management software, delivering innovative solutions for secure file access, managed file transfer (MFT), and cloud-based storage.
Before establishing SRT, Michael was a key member of the startup team at OTG Software, contributing to advancements in enterprise data management. He later founded KnoWare, Inc., where he pioneered drive-mapping technology, enhancing remote file access and cloud storage solutions. His tenure as Vice President of Client Architecture at Xdrive further solidified his reputation in the online storage sector.
Michael’s leadership extends beyond corporate roles; he was the founding President of the Chesapeake Regional Technology Council (CRTC) and has served on boards including the Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC) and the CyberSecurity Association of Maryland (CAMI). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Loyola College in Maryland.

John’s career commenced with a successful software consultancy, catering to clients like Vanguard Instruments, where he honed his skills in operating systems and device driver development. In 1997, he founded Riverfront Software, advancing drive-mapping technology to facilitate seamless remote file management. His collaboration with Michael Ryan at Xdrive laid the foundation for SRT’s mission to deliver robust cybersecurity solutions.
John earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cal Poly, Pomona, California, underscoring his commitment to technological excellence.
